Courtland (Corky) S. Driggs, age 87 of Munster, passed away at home on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born on December 12, 1930 in Ashland, WI to Harry and Ceona (Shesgreen) Driggs. Corky is survived by his wife Regina (Jeanne) which he married in August of 1953. He was the loving father to Juliann (Robert) Gladden, Michaelle (Jim) Van Linden, and Tamara (Michael) Martin, and is the beloved grandfather to five grandchildren, and a great grandfather to one. He also leaves behind his faithful… Read More » dog, Misty. Corky was raised in Kankakee, IL and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1949. Following high school Corky attended Purdue University where he earned a degree in Pharmacy. He entered into active service in the Army in May of 1954 and was honorably discharged as a Reserve Commissioned Officer in September of 1961. On August 8, 1953 he married the love of his life, Regina Klinker. They met in the fall of 1951 at a dance held at the Newman Center at St. Thomas Aquinas on the Purdue University campus where he earned his pharmacy degree. His funeral mass will be celebrated at noon on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster Indiana. Burial will be at a date to be determined at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to St. Thomas More Church or Hospice of the Greater Calumet Area, 600 Superior Avenue, Munster, IN 46321.
