CAROL MARCENE WILLIAMS Boonville, IN. – Carol Marcene Williams, 65, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 16, 2018. She was born on October 3, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana to Noel and Virginia (Dimmett) Medcalf who both preceded her in death. Marcene married the love of her life, Jim Williams, on July 14, 1979 at the Lincoln State Park Chapel. She is survived by her siblings, Stan (Candy) Medcalf, Kathy (Mark) Schmitt and Richard (Mary) Medcalf. Her grandchildren Marcy, Matt, Mallory, Mandy and Maylee Smolen, Gracie Madden-Housh, Bailey Harter-Martin, Brooke and Selah Martin, Reece, Lily, Grey and Finn Carroll. She is also survived by many cherished family members and friends. Marcene was a member of First Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana where she was a leader of many bible studies, mentor to several women and had also sang in the choir. She lived every day of her life serving Christ and tried to make the world better by helping anyone that was in need. Marcene was currently a Real Estate Broker with ERA Realty in Newburgh, Indiana. She previously worked as a Legal Secretary for David Zengler for almost 20 years. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Her greatest joy was preparing a meal for her loved ones which was not just reserved for holidays. She was a doting mother and grandmother who made the effort to be present for all sporting events, recitals, plays and any other important milestone. She felt fortunate and blessed to share the many adventures and travels with her dear friends and husband. Her laughter was contagious and will be missed by all those that loved her. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana. A Celebration of Marcene’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 at the First Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you direct your donations to First Christian Church, Youth Ministries in Newburgh, Indiana. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7
