Obituary for Yvonne Adele Moody Yvonne Adele (Dee Dee) Moody, passed away at 5:28 am on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at Heritage Healthcare in Mt. Zion, IL. Dee Dee was born on January 31, 1926 to Robert Claude Peppler and Theresa Frost in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Wayne University College of Education (special education), Detroit. MI. Dee Dee taught in Florida schools and substituted in Decatur, IL and M2 school for several years. She also worked in the Decatur Youth Advocate Program. Dee Dee was an animal and bird lover and also had her private pilots license. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Mary) Davey and her sister, Claudia Gates of Decatur. We would like to express our gratitude to the entire staff of Heritage for their care and compassion shown to Dee Dee. A special thanks to Dan Smith for his kindness and care shown over the years. Per her wishes, there will be an immediate cremation with no services to follow. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter.
