Mr. Steven E. “Wiz” Morss, 60, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 9:25 pm Friday, May 4, 2018 at Kindred Hospital, Peoria, Illinois surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 7, 1957 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Oscar Earl and Ruth Margaret Pierson Morss. He first married Karen Hendricks and later married Terrie Lee Kerrick on February 25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Also surviving is his son, Shawn Michael Morss of Galesburg; his daughter, Stephanie Michelle Butler of Galesburg; four grandchildren; Jackson, Audrey and Victoria Morss and Brogan Butler and many cousins, including a special cousin, Karen (Marion) Pinkham of Galesburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his sister, Margaret Cross and his uncle Kenneth Morss. Steven worked for Mid-West Appraisers as a real estate appraiser for 22 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1975 and Monmouth College. Steven was a member of the Covenant Church. He was an avid golfer and Cub fan and a lover of useless knowledge. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Tom Ek will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday at the chapel. Cremation will follow services. Memorials may be made to the Covenant Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
