Obituary for Romona M. Pellegrine Romona (Neimann) Pellegrine passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning May 5, 2018 at Marion Oaks Assisted Living in Ocala, Florida. She was the loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of many. Services are pending at UC Davis Funeral home in Morris, Illinois but are tentatively set for Wednesday, May 9, 2018. She was born December 22, 1933 in Naper Nebraska to Julius and Emma (Pfaff) Neiman. In 1950 she married Donald Azio Pellegrine who preceded her in death in 1982. She worked at Morris Paper Mill for several years until it’s closing in 1982. She enjoyed being an Avon Distributor after that. Later in life Romona enjoyed snow skiing with a special friend, Ted Chally, who accompanied her on many snow skiing adventures including out west and Europe. Romona is survived by her children Randall Curtis (Mary Banas) Pellegrine of Morris, and Rhonda Kay (Thomas) Petelle of Ocala Florida; grandchildren Trisha (Tony) Gagliardo, Brian Petelle, Brandi (Bryan) Coveyou, Donald (Briana), Andrew, and Kaytie Pellegrine, John (Carol) Shiro; great grandchildren Ryan, Abbey, AJ Gagliardo; Landyn, Aidyn, and Zoey Coveyou; Jaden, Myra, and Jessa Petelle and Mason White. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Emma (Pfaff), her husband Donald, her older brother, Harlan (Shorty) Neimann, who passed away a day earlier and escorted her into heaven. Another brother Jimmy Neimann, three sisters Virginia Fatlan, Rosemary Barra, Evelyn Peacock. Memorials may be made in Romona’s name to Hospice of Marion County at 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, Florida. A visitation for Romona will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2018 from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home located in Morris. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 pm, presided by Father Edward J. Howe CR Burial will follow at Mt.Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with U.C.
