Obituary for Mary D. Stopa Mary D. Stopa 98 of Peru. Died in Manor Court of Peru. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday in St Valentine Church. Monsignor Richard Soseman will officiate. Burial will be in St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00-10:00 AM in the church. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mary was born February 6, 1920, in Peru to George and Antonio (Siembab)Stopa. Mary worked at Westclox up till her retirement in 1980. She was a member of St Valentine Church. Mary lived all her life in the family home known as “Castle Park” (Barton Castle) in Peru. Mary is survived by her many friends she made in her life.
