Joanne Marcia Woelfel, 85, of Yukon, OK died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Bickford of Oswego in Oswego, IL. She was born June 21, 1932 in Covington, VA the daughter of the late Harold and Clara nee Jordan Hodges. She was a lifetime member of Granberry United Methodist Church in Covington, VA. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She went on after college to become a gemologist working in the jewelry business. She was a member… Read More » of the American Gem Society, American Association of University Women and the Lions Club. She is survived by two sons William E (Patricia) Woelfel, Len H (Mary) Woelfel, four grandchildren Michael Woelfel, Karen (Chris) Sgarlata, Emily Ranallo, Rebecca Woelfel, three great grandchildren Will Woelfel, Chris Sgarlata, Jr and Nick Sgarlata. She was preceded in death also by her husband William Woelfel in 2017 and a grandson Michael Woelfel. Private services were held for the family.
