Obituary for Donna C. Elbrecht (Quinn) Donna C. Elbrecht, 84, of Murphysboro, passed away 4:35 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro, Illinois. Donna was born on August 21, 1933, in Gorham, Illinois, to Donald Quinn and Afton (Nance) Quinn. She was a telephone operator in Murphysboro, until General Telephone moved to Carbondale. She worked at Bill and Gene’s Grocery Store for almost twenty years. Donna married Les Elbrecht on December 26, 1952, and he survives in Murphysboro. They shared sixty five years together. She is also survived by one daughter Debbie Warren and her husband Elmer Warren of Warrensburg, MO, a son Dan Elbrecht and his wife Janice Elbrecht of Columbia, IL; four grandchildren Jennifer Warren and Scott Warren of Warrensburg, MO, Brittany Mitchell and her husband Chris Mitchell of Waterloo, IL, and Courtney Elbrecht of Columbia, IL; and one sister June Bench of Lake St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Josemon Hoem officiating, and burial at Tower Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
