Clifford “Cliff” E. White, 86, of Andover, Illinois passed away on May 10, 2018 at his home. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home 1301 4th Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Andover Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Village Light Church in Cambridge. Cliff was born on February 24, 1932 in Kasbeer, Illinois the son of Harry M. and Cecile Garman White. He married Betty Jean Vannatta on July 27, 1952 in Pittsfield, Illinois. Cliff was employed with the Rock Island Lines as a depot agent for 18 ½ years; he also sold Pioneer seed corn. Cliff sold Wick Homes for 40 years having built more than 600 homes over the course of his career. He also built and sold grandfather clocks for the Emperor Clock Company. Cliff participated for several years in a group from Alabama called Carpenters for Christ that built churches. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan but above all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and papa. Cliff was honest and generous to a fault. Survivors include his: Wife Betty White Son, Dan (Karen) White; their children, Thom, Dana (Kevin), Nick and Kayla Son, Dave (Kim) White; their children, Michael (Paige), Mitchel (Kaiti), Marshal (Brittany) Great grandchildren; Bailey (Adam), Gage, Josh and McCoy Sister; Bettie (Gene) Finks Brother; Frank (Lucille) White Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Harold and Dave.
