Carla L. Bricking, age 47, of Baylis, IL went with the Lord peacefully at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born on October 21, 1970 in Alton, IL to Linda Clark Wallace. Carla graduated from Pittsfield High School. She loved to garden and ride her bike. She was also an avid Facebook reader and liked to shop. Carla was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Dolphins. Her heart belonged to her only daughter, Kayla, and her two grandbabies, Lathan and Jaxson. Carla also enjoyed spending her spare time with her two cats, Tia and Missy and at church. Her laughter was contagious and she had the greatest love for her family, especially her grandkids. She is survived by her mother, Linda Wallace; daughter, Kayla (Matthew White) Bricking of New Canton, IL; two grandbabies, Lathan White and Jaxson White of New Canton, IL; four brothers, Jimmy Wallace of Baylis, IL, Phillip (Cristina) Wallace of Baylis, IL, DJ Wallace of St. Louis, MO, and Jayme Wallace of Fidelity, IL; a sister, Sandra (Doug) Strother of Pittsfield, IL; three nephews, David Pollard, Billy (Keishia) Hartle, and Aiden Hunter; two nieces, Heather (Garret) Robbins and Lola Wallace; two great nieces, Raelynn Robbins and Jordan Hartle; and one great nephew, Grady Robbins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy and Margaret Clark; an uncle, Jim Coleman; aunt, Betty Andrus, along with several other aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Jim Jacques officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family.
