Obituary for Mrs. Rose McKenzie Mrs. Rose C. McKenzie, age 85, of Dallas, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018, at her residence in Dallas, GA. Mrs. McKenzie was born on December 6, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a waitress at Waffle House for many years. Mrs. McKenzie enjoyed watching movies, going swimming and reading a good book. She loved spending time with her friends and family and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure in knowing her. Mrs. McKenzie is survived by her sister, Floria Self; brothers, George (Denise) Johnson and James (Charlotte) Johnson; step-son, Ricky (Sharon) McKenzie; grandchildren, Wayne (Becky) Self, Lisa Self, Tommy (Tonya) Self, Dylan Self and Dena Self; great-grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth) Coursey, Jordan (Sara) Turner, Christopher Self, Shawn Self, Brittany (Matt) Sanders, Jessie (LaKelin) Self and Travis Self. Many other relatives and friends also survive. Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmo McKenzie. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018, at 12:00 Noon, from the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 14, 2018, from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
