Obituary for Owen “Bill” Sanders Mr. Owen William “Bill” Sanders, age 71 of 607 Laurel Drive, Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 25, 1946, in Royston, Georgia, to the late Owen Sanders Sr. and Eula Vickery Sanders. He was a retired long haul truck driver, former Deputy Sherriff for Hart County, former employee with Hart EMC and was a retired supervisor from the Sanitation Department with City of Hartwell. He was a member of the Hartwell Bass Club where he won numerous tournaments and also a member of the Optimist Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church . He is survived by his wife Jane Reid Sanders of Hartwell, son Jim Sanders (Amy) of Hartwell and a grandchild Ali Rae Sanders of Hartwell. He was proceeded in death by his parents. It was his wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday May 26, 2018 at two o’clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy. The family will receive friends from one o’clock until the service hour. Rev. Wayne Durden, Mr. Fred Greenway and Mr. Jimmy Myerholtz will be officiating. The family will be at the home, 607 Laurel Drive in Hartwell. Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Sanders family.
