Margaret McReynolds 1925 2018

Obituary for Margaret McReynolds Margaret Givan McReynolds was born on February 25, 1925 and passed on May 13, 2018. Born and raised in Liberty, TN, she was the daughter of the late Emmons Dale and Blanche Jacobs Givan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. (Mac) McReynolds, daughter Kitty McReynolds Gay, granddaughter Tabi Tylon Gay, and brother, William Givan. Margaret spent her working years as an administrative assistant for Cook Industries and later at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member. She will be remembered for her attention to detail and her love of cooking, music, needlework, cats, and the Atlanta Braves. Margaret is survived by her nieces Ellen (Tony) Martin of Bogart and Jennifer Beckom of Athens, and their children Courtney Martin and Jon Beckom; grandchildren Tatiana Gay and Dee Dee Connelly. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Martha Givan. The family would like to thank the staff at Hollander Senior Living of Monroe for their care these last several years, and to Compassionate Care Hospice. Services will be held at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 15 at 2:00pm. Her family will have a time of visitation in the MABC Gathering Room from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial will follow the service, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, Attn: Choral Music Program, Athens. Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements. Order Flowers
