Dana Lynn McGuire, age 47, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 21, 2018. Dana was born in Rome on November 3, 1970, daughter of the late Joan Rayburn Moats and Mack G. Moats. She had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County her entire life and was of the Baptist faith. Dana was a waitress for several years, working at the Partridge then at Fibbers. She enjoyed laying in the sun, doing all kinds of crafts but mostly spending time with her grandchildren. Dana was an avid Georgia football fan and a fan of the Atlanta Falcons. Dana is survived by two daughters, Tiffany “Tooter” Boozer, and Whitney “Sug Sug” Boozer; one son, Griffin “Griff” McGuire; three grandchildren, Rance Cunningham, Dalyn Richardson and Layla Boozer; three sister, Marcie Ann Moats, Robin Langford and Tubby Moats Kerr; five brothers, Maxie Rayburn, Jr., Pat Rayburn, Mark Rayburn, Richey Moats and Mackey Moats. A host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Dana will be Friday, May 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carl Sidwell Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Dana’s family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the service hour Friday. The staff of Salmon Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dana Lynn McGuire.
