Obituary of Connie Kiker Mrs. Connie Latricia Barnette Kiker, age 75 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday evening, May 26th, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Kiker was born March 12th, 1943 in Griffin, GA to her late parents Samuel M. Barnette and Lucy Standard Barnette. Connie was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Class of 1961, a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay, the Ellijay Garden Club, and retired as the Director of the Gilmer Housing Authority. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles H. Kiker, Jr. of the home in Ellijay, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jeff & Sandi Kiker of Ellijay, GA; Granddaughters, Maci Kiker and Leah Kiker; Sister; Sheryl Jackson of Ellijay, GA; Sister And Brother-in-law, Kay & Jerry Evans of Helen, GA; Brother-in-law And Sister-in-law, Paul & Kathy Kiker of Ellijay, GA; Brother-in-law And Sister-in-law, Ben L. & Vickie Kiker of Ellijay, GA; Special Caretakers, Maria Walker, Carolyn Pankey, and Debi Davis. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 from the First Baptist Church of Ellijay with Rev. James Holt, Rev. Charles Simms, Dr. Glenn Cummings, and Rev. Steve Fields officiating. Interment will be in the Ellijay City Cemetery with Zack Norman, Tony Norman, Steve Evans, Mike Evans, Kell Kiker, Will Kiker, Tammy Lasiter, Kelly Kiker Dorsey, Bo Dorsey, Paul Kiker, Jr., and Julie Kiker all serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2pm until 9pm on Monday, May 28th, 2018 at the Logan Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable, or donations may be made to the National Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at 200 SE 1st Street 800 Miami, FL 33131 in memory of Mrs. Kiker. Logan Funeral Home & Chapel in charge of arrangements.
