Obituary of Betty Hardy Mrs. Betty Jean Harris Hardy, age 82, of Jackson, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin. Betty was born on Friday, October 11, 1935 in Griffin, GA to the late Thomas Eugene Harris and the late Jennie Laverne Ballard Harris. She was a member of Stark United Methodist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jerome Hardy; daughters, Susan Hardy Carter, LuAnne Dover, and Nancy Dolan; granddaughter, Michelle Carter Pruitt. Betty is survived by her daughter, Danielle Ingram; grandchildren, Vikki Carter, Justin and Casey Carter; great-grandchildren, Hailey Michelle Johnson, Ciara Nicole Pruitt, Andi Hardy, Kayla Dover, Brianna Ingram, Miley Ingram, and Haven Carter; special friends, Robin and Jeff Swords, Frankie and Roth Clinton. A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Hardy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Stark United Methodist Church with Reverend Anthony Gavalas officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Stark United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stark United Methodist Church, 1097 Halls Bridge Rd, Jackson, GA 30233 and Eternal Hope Hospice, 123 N. 18th Street Griffin, GA 30223.
