Reidsville, Mrs. Betty Jean Wilson, age 73, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 22, 1945 in Collins to Oatha and Effie Johnson. She had lived in Reidsville most of her life and was a private sitter. Mrs. Betty Jean loved to crochet and go fishing. She was a member of Elza Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Wilson; and several siblings. She is survived by her children, Kevin Wilson of Reidsville, and Karen (Richard) Braddy of Lyons; sister, Frances Powell of Reidsville; grandchildren, Kara Wilson, Cody Wilson, Bryce Braddy, and Carson Braddy; step grandchildren, Jamie Eason and Jody Dasher; great grandchild, Kaden Blocker; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the funeral services to begin at 3:00pm with the Reverend Charles Barnard officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Powell, Randy Powell, Ramon Powell, Greg Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson. Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Wilson family.
