Mrs. Barbara Sue Staton, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home at 11:00AM with Rev. Mark Hudson officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta, GA Mrs. Staton was born on January 11, 1947 in Joplin, MO to the late Frank Fisher and Martha Sloan Fisher. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cusseta, GA. Barbara loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed BINGO, cross stitching, sewing and doing crafts. Barbara was a loving and proud mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Staton, and by a sister, Linda Bullock. Survivors include her four sons, James Staton and his wife Kim of Cortland, OH, Michael Staton and his wife, Lynn of Waterloo, IA, Mark Staton and his wife Michelle of Dover, PA and David Staton and his wife Gina of Dillsburg, PA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Fisher and Michael Fisher, both of Ottumwa, IA; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
