Obituary for Ms. Lucy Georgie Edwards Ms. Lucy Kret Edwards Memorial services will be held at a later time for Ms. Lucy Kret Edwards, 88, who entered eternal rest, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, LA. Ms. Edwards is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann Edwards Thompson of Church Point, LA; four grandchildren, Wendy Thompson Provost of Church Point, LA, Steven William Thompson of Church Point, LA, Edward Anthony Thompson of Broussard, LA (Chelsey Babineaux of Cankton, LA) and Shawn Michael Thomson (Jamie Venable Thompson) of Church Point, LA; six great grandchildren, Dustin A. Thompson, Destiney L. Thompson, Kaelyn M. Thompson, Kason M. Thompson, Kohen M. Thompson and Korbin M. Thompson and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly. Her hobbies were going to the casino, playing bingo, cards, dominos, word puzzles and spending time with family and friends, while cooking and baking. Ms. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, J. William “JR” Edward; twin sons, Baby Edwards and Eddie Edwards; two brothers, Pete Kret and George Kret; a sister, Edith Kret Byington; parents, Frank Joe Kret & Emilie Ann Pospisil Kret.
