Obituary for Lucien Richard Lemay On May 19, 2018, Lucien Richard Lemay took his final march up the hill toward Heaven surrounded by his loving wife and close family. For the last two years, he has fought a courageous battle with cancer and in true Marine form, he never complained. He took it one day at a time, often worrying more about the health and wellbeing of his family and friends than himself. Lou has almost always been self-employed. After serving his term in the Marines in the late 60’s, Lou purchased the family restaurant in Waterbury, CT from his father Henry J. Lemay and ran it successfully until he felt the calling to come to Florida about 28 years ago. Once in Florida, he opened Lemay’s Pizza in Poinciana, FL. That is where he was able to share his love of pizza making with his children. As his children grew and worked in the restaurant, he decided to sell it to two of his children, (Donald & Christine) so they can carry on the family tradition. He then moved to Kissimmee where he opened Lou Lemay’s Pizza on Simpson Road. When Lou wasn’t making pizza, he loved going to the beach, going on cruises with his wife and family, or going to the casino. During his time on this Earth, Lou was survived by his loving wife, Vicki Lemay; three children: Becky Gorbutt of Poinciana, FL., Donald Lemay of Orlando, FL., and Christina Mitchell of Winter Park, FL; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also has three step-children: Christine Dodd, Scott Broschay and Evan Broschay; a sister, Margaret Gangloff of Thomaston, CT. and a brother Steve Lemay of Saint Cloud, FL. He was predeceased by his two brothers, David and Donald as well as his sister, Nancy. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Lucien Richard Lemay please visit our Sympathy Store.
