Obituary for Mrs. Elsie Grace Wells Williston Elsie Grace Wells Williston died in Oxford, MS, on May 5, 2018 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Edward Williston of Oxford; her sons, Brad Williston (Joey) of San Francisco, CA, and Britton Williston (Gillian) of Virginia Beach, VA; and three grandchildren, Win and Mary Grace Williston, and Lydia Williston-Goldman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Heber and Mary Elizabeth Wells of Oxford; and her beloved uncle and aunt, Raymond and Grace Saunders of Oxford. Mrs. Williston was born on April 21, 1947 in Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1965 and The University of Mississippi in 1969. After her husband finished military service, they settled in Memphis, TN, until returning home to Oxford in 2011. Her friends and family will remember her sense of humor, her graciousness, and her generosity and kindness to all she met. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Oxford (113 S. 9th St., Oxford, MS 38655).
