Sylvia Moscato Apuzzo of East Haven died peacefully on May 19, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of the late Gerald Louis Apuzzo. Loving mother to Rosemaria Apuzzo, Denise Barbara and Donald Hardy. Sister of the late Josephine Bradley, Rose Hardy, Sue DeLillo, Carmela Ventura, John, Dominic and Michael Moscato. She adored her grandchildren Tara Blumenstock and John Barbara and her great grandchildren Max, Austin and Chase Blumenstock, Tessa and Lana Barbara. Sylvia was born on February 15, 1931 to the late Angelo and Maria Carmen DeLuca Moscato. She had worked at American Discount and Lerner’s Dress Shop and for 18 years making customers feel like family at Metclafe Drugs. She was a very loving and caring woman who always dressed to impress. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 4-7pm in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Pl. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10am in St. Michael Church.
