Obituary for Paula M. Capellan Paula M. Capellan, 57, loving wife of Basilio Cabrera, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on January 25, 1961 in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ana Capellan. She had resided in Meriden for the past 10 years. Paula loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Basilia Cabrera of Meriden; her three sons, Ivan Cabrera of Florida and Luis (Gloria) Cabrera of Meriden and Cristian (Jennifer) Cabrera of Meriden; her four grandchildren, Andrew Cabrera, Paula Cabrera, Emily Martinez and Lourdes Cabrera. She is also survived by her three brothers, Jose, Porfirio and Sandro Capellan and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Franklin Garcia. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 5 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Burial will be private.
