Obituary for Magdalen King Magdalen King, age 77, beloved wife to the late Paul King, passed away on May 12, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Haven on April 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Nodd) Lyons. Before retirement, Magdalen worked at Divina Products for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the casino and had a passion for animals, especially her cats. Most of all, she loved to be a grandmother and great grandmother. Magdalen is survived by her children, Debra (the late Donald) Bruno, Thomas Paul King, Allison (William) Forbes, Laura (George) Quackenbush, Richard King, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and sisters Margaret (Anthony) Vanacore and Ann (Russell) Pendrick. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Frank Lyons and sister Elizabeth Lyons. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Saint Paul’s Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
