Obituary for John W. Thomas John W. Thomas, 79, of New Britain, CT died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. John was born in Opelika, AL and was the son of the late Easter Thomas-Jackson-Hill. He worked as a machinist at EIS Brake Co. for several years. John was an exceptional person. A loving Father, Brother, Uncle and Grandfather. He was an entrepreneur by heart and shared his knowledge and wisdom with his kids and family that helped them become successful individuals. However, his main hobby was to work on cars especially his Cadillac Eldorado. John was a PROUD member of “Pride of CT” Lodge of Elks #1437, New Britain, CT John is survived by his cherished loved ones – his three sons Larry Thomas (Wife-Robin) of Hartford, CT, Robert (Bobby) Thomas (Wife-Debra) of Plano, TX and Leonard Thomas of Austin, TX, his two daughters Van Neil of New Britain, CT and Linda Thomas of Plano, TX, his two sisters Alberta Jackson-Anderson of Cromwell, CT and Shirley Ann Hill of Birmingham, AL, his two brothers Darrel Hill (Wife-Liz) of Phoenix, AZ and Carl Hill of Cromwell, CT. John was predeceased by his two daughters Tanya Harvey and Regina Thomas and his brother Horse Hill, Jr. Homegoing Celebration for John will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
