Janet Gail Kyte October 11, 1938 – May 25, 2018 Janet Gail Kyte was called to heaven on May 25, 2018 where she reunited with her beloved daughter, Donna. Janet was born on October 11, 1938 in Port Huron, Michigan. Janet was a graduate of Port Huron High School in Port Huron, Michigan. Janet married Donald Kyte on December 26, 1995 and moved to Ft. Huachuca in 1962. She remained a resident of this area until her passing. She retired in 1994 from the Ft. Huachuca Accommodation School District after 25 years, where she spent most of that time as the principal’s secretary at Colonel Johnston Elementary School. Janet’s main interest was spending quality time with the people she held dearly. She was actively involved in Special Olympics, where she got to experience many wonderful moments with Donna and her teammates. She loved traveling in her motorhome and going on numerous cruises with her family and friends. Janet beamed with joy at the mere mention of one of her grandkids. Her loving bond with Donald was unsurpassed. She treasured her friendships with Yolonda and Charles Collins, Dee and Tom Whipp, Charles and Susanne Hazelett, the Hitchins family, Anne Sandidge, and many others near and dear to her heart. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald Kyte; her sons, Gary (Lisa) and Mark (LaChelle); and four grandsons: Bryan (Jessi), Matt, Ethan, and Spencer. She is also survived by her two sisters, Loretta Kish and Harriet Angerbrandt, of Port Huron, Michigan; and her sister-in-law, Jean MacDuff, of Port Huron, Michigan. A memorial service will be held on June 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hatfield’s Funeral Home. Private interment will be at a later time.
