Athens Funeral service for Rachel Maria Haynes, 30, will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with family and close friends to speak and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Miss Haynes died on Monday, May 7, 2018. She was born February 21, 1988, in Madison County to Billy Dewayne Haynes and Katharine Barber Smith. Rachel was always a straight “A” student and graduated with honors from Sparkman High School. She was a cheerleader and proudly earned the nickname “Smiley” because she always showed her beautiful smile. She was a bartender for Bar Louie. She is and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
