Funeral service for Marilyn Ruth Reist age 82, of Hartselle, AL, passed away from this life on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the NHC nursing home in Moulton, AL. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 8, 1936 the daughter of Edward (Pete) Miller and Ruth Miller. She married James P. (Jim) Reist on December 20, 1957, and later moved to Decatur, Al. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of Westview Church of Christ that meets in Hartselle, AL. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and dogs and making new friends all over the country. She is by her husband James P. Reist of Hartselle; children, Carol (Anthony) Birdwell of Rogersville, Glenn (Tami) Reist of Moulton, Jimmy (Gay) Reist of Hartselle; 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Charles E. Miller; step children Gary Reist and Cindy Wertz. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at NHC Moulton for all the love that was shown to her during her stay. The family will receive friends Tuesday May 29, from 2:00 p.m. til 3:45 p.m. with service following at 4:00 p.m., with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
