Obituary for Ivaline “Ivy” Cook Griffith Ivy Griffith, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Ivy retired from Simon Williamson Clinic after 54 years. She was an active member and served in the youth departments of both ACIPCO Baptist and Gardendale First Baptist Churches. She was an accomplished artist. Ivy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles “Slick” L. Griffith, Jr.; son, Chuck (Angela) Griffith; daughter, Kim (Bruce) Jolly; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with the service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church Student Ministry, 940 Main St, Gardendale, AL 35071.
