Obituary for Elton F. Correa Elton F. Correa, 89, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Born in New Orleans, LA, on June 18, 1928, he was the only child of the late Francisco and Leota Paletou Correa. He was a proud graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. After graduation, he attended Louisiana State University and later DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He was an accomplished track athlete in both high school and college. While living in Manhattan, NY, Elton was drafted in the US Army and served in the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1952. After the war, he lived in Chicago, and came to Kenosha in 1973. Elton was employed by General Telephone Electronics Corporation (GTE) in Des Plaines, IL, as an electrician until his retirement in 1987. In Chicago, on April 8, 1961, he married Miriam Ethel Goldsmith of Dorking, England. She preceded him in death on October 13, 1990. He enjoyed road trips and traveling, playing cards, and was a Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his three children, Alan F. Correa (Cynthia Garza) of Kaiserslautern, Germany, David F. Correa (Angela Quillen) of Bristol, and Mary May (Scott) Boucher of Menasha; two grandchildren, Josiah Scott Boucher of Milwaukee, and Victoria Miriam Boucher of La Crosse; and his special friend, Kathleen Maletis of Racine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 12:00 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. followed by full military honors. Interment will be private.
