Obituary for Robert James Kennedy Sgt. Robert James Kennedy, 74, of Reedy, WV passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home. He was born in Paterson, NJ on December 29, 1943, a son of the late John and Agnes Anderson Kennedy. He is survived by wife, Rita Kennedy of Reedy, WV; daughters Terry Mahn of Jefferson Twp., PA and Kim Santerre, Lake Huntington, NY; sister, Patricia Eletto of Missouri; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He worked for Charles Eletto, Perma Construction Co., and DalZell’s Trucking and Rigging Co. in Paterson, NJ for 18 years. He was a Corporal in the US Marine Corps serving 5 years in Viet Nam during two tours of duty. He was also a Sergeant in the Army National Guard for 15 years in Riverdale, NJ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters Coreen Kennedy and Erin Kennedy. A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lester Tanner officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Following cremation, interment will be in Orma UMC Cemetery.
