Obituary of Kathryn Sprung Kathryn “Kay” Irene Sprung departed this life to be in her Heavenly home on April 4th, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 5th, 1943 to parents Edward Hannan, and Margaret Hannan. She was married to Raymond Walter Sprung from 12/29/1970, until his passing on 09/14/16. Their marriage was a truly loving relationship of 46 years grounded by their deep faith in Jesus Christ. Kay was a devoted mother to her five children, Timothy, Kelly, Brandon, Tiffany, Nicole, and a beloved wife to Raymond Walter Sprung. In her lifetime, she became a grandmother to 16 children, and 4 great-grandchildren. As a mother and grandmother, she was dedicated, loving and supportive to her family and was an exemplary mother and care giver. She was a spiritual Christian woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She was inspirational to those who knew and loved her and a gifted artist in her own right. Kathryn Sprung was a valued and active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She was called by God to serve Him in helping others develop a deep personal relationship with Christ through her ministry and missions. Our mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, April 21 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to cover funeral expenses may be given to: Brandon Sprung 21 Claire Way PO.
