Joy Lee Sullivan 1947 2018

Obituary of Joy Sullivan Joy Lee Sullivan, (70), of Leesburg, Virginia, wonderful mother and sister peacefully transitioned to new life on April 18, 2018, surrounded in love and peace with her daughter Tiffany, sister Linda, and niece Aimee by her side. Joy was born on May 22, 1947, in Washington, DC, to Ret. Colonel Richard Ryder Catterlin and Jean Dolores (Kindley) Catterlin. She graduated from Chatsworth High School and received an Associate’s degree from Southwest Texas University. Joy served as an International Service Manager for Continental Airlines for 39 years and traveled the world. She shared her passion for travel with those around her. Joy loved serving and caring for others, entertaining friends and family and making others feel important. She would go as far as crafting individual gifts for family and friends every holiday season. She was actively involved in volunteering to help others and spending time with her daughter. Joy is survived by her daughter Tiffany (Jonathan); grandchildren Emily and Jake of Sterling, VA; her sister Linda (Jose David) of Irving, TX; nieces Aimee (Edd) Gilroy of Alexandria, VA; Heidi (KC) Arwine, great niece (Natalie), great nephew (Garrett) of Coppell, TX and her loving Continental family of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate), Make a Wish Foundation (wish.org) or the ASPCA (http:www.aspca.org). The family wishes to thank all of you for your continued support and prayers through this journey.
