Rosemarie S. Christensen 1937 ~ 2018 WEST VALLEY CITY – Rosemarie S. Christensen passed away on April 24th, 2018. She was born August 29th, 1937 in Bielefeld, Germany to Wilhelm Schmitz and Anna Grappendorf. At Twenty years old, she immigrated to America, December 1957. She married Joseph H. Christensen Jr. December 11, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a devout follower of the LDS religion and was loved greatly by her family and neighbors. She enjoyed her cruises with the fun, loving group of ladies. In her later years the card games were the highlight of her week, just as beating her husband at cards had been in her earlier years. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Kelly) Matosich; son, Kent (Andrea) Christensen; three grandchildren, Douglas, Brent, and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Lance, Olivia, and Aria; and her sister Eleonore. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; brother, Harald, and sister, Dagmar. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. followed by the funeral services at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
