Obituary for Larry Jay Allen Larry Jay Allen passed peacefully at his home on April 9, 2018. He was born on December 6, 1958 to Larry Joseph Allen and Linda Larsen Allen. Larry was an avid sportsman having hunted and fished extensively. He had many trophies he was proud of and was an excellent marksman as well as a skillful angler. There wasn’t a season he didn’t look forward to whether it was fishing or hunting. He had many, many friends and especially loved ice fishing Hyrum Dam in the winter. He had numerous fond memories of those special hunting trips he shared with his son, Tyler. Larry was an extremely hard-worker, having spent twenty-five years working for ICON fitness of Logan. After the company departed, he worked for Autoliv of Brigham City. He brought his dedicated work ethic to that company for the last three years. He is survived by a brother, Tony Allen (LaZell) of Logan, sisters Sherry Underwood (Bob) of Logan and Angie Rhoades (Rick) of Ocala, Florida, Stepmother Beth Allen of Hyrum. He is also survived by a son, Tyler Valesquez (Haylee), and a grandson, Graysen LJ (Larry Jay) Valesquez. The family will be holding a memorial service in observance of Larry’s life. It will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from noon to 2:00 pm at the Bowery, 299 E. 600 S. Hyrum, UT. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Joseph Allen, his mother, Linda Allen, and brother, Jon Kelly. Cremation is under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
