Joshua David Smith, age 37, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Josh was born on September 2, 1980 to Kenneth Edwin and Sheila Charlene Smith in Watertown, New York. He was raised mostly in the rural country of New York. A younger brother was born to the family in 1982, who will miss Josh very much. Josh served an LDS Mission to Northern Colorado and attended college at Phoenix University. He was employed as an I.T. Tech, Josh married LaceyMay Bott on August 10, 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three young sons…Sawyer Jaxon (6), Casper Kenneth (3), and Fisher David (2). His family was his life and his wife, and his three young sons were his world. He also had a deep love for his mother and father and brother, as well as his nine brother in laws and ten sister in-laws, his mother in law and many nieces and nephews. He loved family and always welcomed them into his home. He also related well with the youth and had taken in a teenage foster son, Zack Willis-Salt, into his home and care. He was very talented playing the guitar and loved all kinds of music. He is survived by his wife LaceyMay Smith and their three sons, Sawyer, Casper and Fisher. He is also survived by his father Kenneth and brother Samuel Smith, as well as all nine brother in-laws and ten sister in-laws and 35 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Sheila Charlene Smith. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 11 AM in the Pleasant Green 3rd Ward, 8738 W 3000 So., Magna, Utah. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 PM and also 1 hour prior to services both at the Church. Burial will follow at the Mt Olivet Cemetery.
