Ralene Hill 2018

Charlsie Ralene Hill of Tom Bean, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 83. Charlsie was born on January 5, 1935 to Emmett Weldon Cooper and Margaret Clarice (Hicks) Cooper in Ambrose, Texas. She loved her family, loved to watch her grandchildren’s ballgames, loved to crochet, and loved the Texas Rangers. She is survived by her loving husband, Bub, of 58 years; daughter Tammie Thorpe and husband Don of Tom Bean, Texas; son-in-law Dennis Southerland and wife Carol of Tom Bean, granddaughter Amber Pennell and husband Shane of Tom Bean; grandson Caleb Southerland and wife Misty of Tom Bean; grandson Don Thorpe III and wife Emi of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandson Drew Thorpe and wife Erin of Sherman, Texas; granddaughter Jennifer Nowakowski of Van Alstyne, Texas; grandson Kevin Nowakowski of Austin, Texas; great grandson Colby Pennell and wife Megan of Tom Bean; great granddaughter Meredith Pennell of Tom Bean, Texas; great granddaughter Emmy Pennell of Tom Bean; great grandson Kason Southerland of Sherman, great grandson Carter Southerland of Tom Bean; and great granddaughter Ellie Thorpe of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Clarice Cooper; her first husband Gene Cowan; her daughter Bobbie Southerland; and sister Helen Jean Dexheimer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday April 28 at First Baptist Church in Tom Bean. A private family burial will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. The family will receive friends during visitation on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service.
