Mary Ann Gay Miller, affectionately known to her family as “Mam”, made her heavenly journey on April 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann was born on November 18, 1936 in Paris, TX to Charles Raymond and Agatha Dedell Gay. She married Clint LeMon Miller, Jr. in 1980 and settled in Waxahachie, TX. In 1995 they moved to Rock Falls Lake in Mineola, TX to enjoy retirement. While in Mineola, Mary Ann was a member of the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Clint LeMon Miller, Jr. of Grandview, TX; daughter, Lucy Shanahan (Ken) of The Woodlands, TX; sons, Jeff Latson (Jennifer) of Grandview, TX and Greg Latson (Debbie) of Weatherford, TX; stepson, Clint LeMon Miller III; sisters, Raydell O’Neil of Whitney, TX and Judy Buchholz (Mike) of Centerville, IN. “Mam” lovingly leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Lyle Latson. The family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Heritage Place Assisted Living and Memory Care for the amazing care they gave Mary Ann over the past several months. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00PM at the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Mineola, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church or the Alzheimers Foundation (alzfdn.org).
