Obituary of Larry Page Larry L. Page departed this life Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10:36 pm. While here, he marched to the beat of his own drummer and made an impact on all those whose path he crossed. Larry was born in Sterling City, TX in 1941; raised by Milton and Elsie Page. He was active in high school sports, taking special pride in his Golden Globe boxing days. After high school in Hallsville, TX, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon his return, he attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received his degree in Accounting. Larry went to work as an accountant at Gulf Oil in Houston, TX. City life was not in Larry’s blood and he returned to his small-town roots. For the rest of his days, he followed his heart from one challenge to the next, from Hallsville to Midland, with even a stint in Sonora emu farming. He did everything from accounting, oil field work to working and living on a ranch in Caldwell, TX. He loved his family, friends, horses, trail rides, camping and water skiing. He also loved Dallas Cowboys and Ranger baseball. He loved to watch bull riding on TV. He did not put on airs, what you saw was what you got. He had a wicked sense of humor. He will be missed. His is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Elsie Page. His only son, Troy L. Page, also passed at 6 years of age. Additionally, his ex-wife, Barbara Dendy, passed in 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Becky) Page, brother Richard Page and sister Kay Nunley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
