Jose Alcala Castillo Jose “Pepe” Castillo Alcala ALBA – Visitation for Jose Castillo Alcala, 80, of Alba, is scheduled for Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mineola, under direction of the family and church. Interment will be in Golden Cemetery. Jose passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, in Oklahoma, with his loving wife, Janet, by his side. He was born March 19, 1938, in Melchor Musquiz, Mexico, to Guadalupe and Antonia Alcala Castillo. He was child number 8 out of 10. Jose married Janet Reames in March of 1998 and together they happily served their God in the Mineola congregation until his passing. Jose taught welding and auto mechanics in Mexico until moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1969. He then worked as a diesel mechanic until he retired. In 2003, he retired from Mallory’s Propane in Mineola. Jose was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1974 and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. He also enjoyed traveling with Janet and visiting family, especially those they did not see often in Mexico. Jose and Claudia Wilson raised three children, Suzanne, Antonia, and Thomas, and moved to Alba in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Janet Castillo of Alba; daughters, Suzanne and Antonia; brothers, Javier Castillo of Piedras Negras, Mexico and Roberto Castillo of Monterrey, Mexico; sisters, Julieta Castillo Alcala of Musquiz, Mexico and Tomasita (Pura) Castillo de Wong of Musquiz, Mexico; five stepchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas; brothers, Juan Castillo and Bulmaro Castillo; sisters, Maria de Jesus Castillo de Leal, Beatriz Castillo de Hernandez, and Rosa Maria Castillo de Vasquez; and grandparents.
