Obituary of Jack Hamilton Funeral services for Jack Hamilton, 83, of Troup, will be held 3pm Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Cottle Funeral Home with the Reverend Steven Oakes and Reverend Joe Ballard officiating with interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. Under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Jack passed away on April 9, 2018. He was born December 23, 1934 in Concord, TX to Looney Oliver Hamilton and Ethel Odell Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Looney and Ethel Hamilton; son, Bruce Hamilton; grandson, Michael Hamilton; siblings, 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gladys Hamilton of Troup; children, Pamela Demers of Troup, Bryan Hamilton and wife Alisha of Rineyville, KY, Brad Hamilton and wife Beverly of Tyler, Jason Hamilton and wife Ginny of Liberty Hill, Nicole Johnson and husband Donovan of Troup; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup 1pm-2:30pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 211 Winchester Dr, Tyler, TX 75701 and Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701.
