Obituary for Mr. Hewey Simpson Mr. Hewey Simpson, age 74 of Baxter, KY born in Warbranch, KY on October 11, 1943, passed away April 25, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Henry Simpson and Linda Nolan Simpson, twin brother Dewey Simpson, brothers Aaron Simpson and Elhanon Simpson, Sisters Polly Collins and Hetty Simpson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Darlene McDowell Simpson. Brother Roland Simpson and wife Judy of Elcomb, KY, sisters Annalee Brock of Putney, KY, Gracie Simpson Jones, Dayhoit, KY, Fannie Freeman of Louisville, KY, Phronie Collett of Chicago, IL, Children David Simpson of Loyall, KY, Lester Simpson and wife Crystal of Hulen, KY, Wanda Simpson Weaver of Baxter, Grandchildren: Beth Weaver of Baxter, Lauren Sells and husband Jimmy of Johnson City, TN, great grandchild Kallie Sells. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones. Visitation will be Friday April 27, 2018 from 5 to 9 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday April 28, 2018 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Harris officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Simpson.
