Obituary for Dorothy S. Dvorak Dorothy S. Dvorak, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hermitage Health Care Center. She was born on May 23, 1924 to the late John and Veronica Checki Sobeck. Dorothy was a woman ahead of her time as she worked as the assistant comptroller at Liberty Bell Horse Racing Park in Philadelphia, PA. She was a former member of the Four Lanes End Garden Club in Langhorne, PA and she enjoyed tole painting. She was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, William John Dvorak; her son, William T. “Bill” Dvorak; two sisters and one brother. Those left to cherish her memory include her two grandsons, Josh Dvorak of Gray, TN and Lieutenant Commander Travis Dvorak, US Navy and his wife, Gillian of San Diego, CA; two great-grandsons, Willem Dvorak and Gunnar Dvorak, both of San Diego, CA; and a daughter-in-law, Dona Dvorak of Johnson City, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will hold a memorial service and funeral mass in Pennsylvania at a later date. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Dorothy S.
