Obituary for Brenda Sue Morgan Stitt Brenda Sue Morgan Stitt, 72, of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Rhea Eller Richards; father, Jack Calvin Morgan; and stepfather, Bobby James Richards. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, working with flowers, being outdoors and walking. She loved helping others. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Merle Stitt; son, Richard Merle Stitt, Jr. of Whitehouse, TN; daughter, Lisa Snyder of Tucson, AZ; son, Stephen Stitt and wife Teresa of Alcoa, TN; son, Timothy Stitt and wife Tina of Morristown, TN; daughter, Susan Stitt Taylor and wife Valerie of Bristol, VA; eleven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 special cats, Tinkerbell and Cali. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, TN. The family would like to extend special thanks to Peggy Stewart for always being there for the family, to special caretaker Caroline Shafer, and to Smoky Mountain Hospice for their care of Brenda.
