Obituary for Blake E. Goins Blake Edward Goins, age 23, departed his earthly home on Sunday, April 8, 2018. He was born January 6, 1995 in Knoxville, TN and was a lifelong resident of Loudon, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Pauline Blankenship. He is survived by his parents, Ed and Patricia Goins; his sister, Amber (Matthew) Henderson; his brother, Tyler (Morgan) Goins; nephew, Oakley Henderson; niece, Henley Goins and unborn nephew, Brantley Goins; his grandparents, Ed and Pat Goins, of Knoxville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives; his lifelong pediatrician Dr. Bud Guider and his MDA camp family. Blake graduated from Loudon County High School and proudly served as their mascot. Blake was a loyal Clemson Tigers fan and loved watching wrestling and football, hunting at Clay County Christian Retreat, being a Bubba to his niece and nephew and being home with his family and animals. Blake was a lifelong member of New Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a radiant example of steadfast faith, strength, and unwavering hope. He is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The funeral service will be 7pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at New Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Watson, Rev. Bill White and Rev. Terry Blankenship officiating. Graveside service will be 11am Thursday at the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Brian McMillian, Daniel McMillian, Dylan Scandlyn, Zeb Proctor, Keith Thornton, Seth Farmer, Wes Littleton, T.J. Silvey. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Goins and Matt Henderson. The family will receive friends 4pm -7pm Wednesday prior to the service at New Macedonia Baptist Church.
