Ted Stephen Mahaffey July 25 1962 – April 11 2018

Obituary for Ted Stephen Mahaffey Gaffney — Ted Stephen Mahaffey, 55, of 1147 Green River Road, passed away Wednesday, April 11th, 2018, at his home. Born in Columbia, he was the husband of Wanda Sims and the son of the late Raymond and Lemuel Ruppe Mahaffey. Mr. Mahaffey retired as a handyman and was of Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mahaffey is survived by three sons, Tyler, Leo, and Brayden Sims, and one daughter, Deleana Sims, all of Gaffney. Mr. Mahaffey was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Hand; a brother, Mike Mahaffey; and a special friend, Roger Dixon. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 at 4:00 pm in the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 501 Buck Shoals Road Gaffney, SC 29341, with Mr. Steve Huskey, Mr. Larry Franks, and Elder Manfred Martin officiating. Memorials may be made to Ted Mahaffey Funeral Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, 211 E. Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340, or donate through his Book of Memories at www.gordonmortuary.com. The family will be at the residence. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com. The Gaffney location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the Mahaffey family.
