Obituary for Vivian A. Getz (Vanada) Vivian A. Getz, 88 of Lewistown, passed away at 6:08 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2018 at the William Penn Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 19, 1930 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jeanette (Kearns) Vanada. Vivian is survived by her son, James Getz and wife Dorothy of Lewistown; granddaughter, Rose Hobbs and husband Derick; great grandchildren, Cody Freed, Brittney Freed and Asten Wagner. She is also survived by her siblings, Calvin Vanada and wife Evelyn of Belleville; Anna Snook of Belleville; Donald Vanada and wife Eileen of Mass; Darla O’Donnell and husband Robert of New Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Vanada. Vivian was employed as a nurse’s aide in the Emergency Room of Lewistown Hospital. She was a member of the Centre Union Church. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown with Pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
