Gregory Kane 1945 2018

Obituary of Gregory Kane Gregory M. Kane 72 of Collegeville, passed away, Saturday, April 7th, 2018, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (French) Kane to whom he was married for over 49 years. Born September 25th, 1945 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Kane and Catherine (Riley) Kane. Greg taught us a great deal about how to live and how to love. He taught us about being imperfect and how God’s grace and forgiveness made all of the difference in his life at those times. He taught us the value of working hard and treating people right. He loved big and was loved by many. He had a huge heart that came to rest on Saturday afternoon. We learned a lot about life and character in the ways he relied on his faith and family in times of challenge. He was a stand for us and showed up for us. We have always tried to model his positive attitude and courage in the face of adversity. He was fun and funny. We will all miss him terribly. In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his children John D. Kane and his wife Tracy, of Atco NJ, David F. Kane and his wife, Carrie, of Collegeville, Suzanne Ott and her husband, Troy, of Pottstown, Carolyn Herrlinger and her husband Brad of Green Lane, Gregory Michael Kane Jr. of Denver, CO his brother Joseph G. Kane Jr. and his grandchildren Steven, John, Matthew, Maya, Natalie, Anna, Jack, Sam, and Tommy. He was predeceased by his beloved son Michael Thomas Kane, and his sister Carol Bono and his brother John “Jack” Kane. Services will be privately held for the family. Our family is passionate about the work of the Front Row Foundation. They will dedicate an event or several events in our Front Row Dad’s name for someone facing a critical health challenge. If this loss and these difficult days could result in someone having their best day ever in our “Front Row” Dad’s name that would be a blessing to our family.
