Frederick Butch Karpinski 1946 2018

Obituary for Frederick “Butch” Karpinski Frederick “Butch” Karpinski, 71 of Abbeville, South Carolina and formerly of Millville passed away Monday February 12, 2018. He was born June 20, 1946 in Shamokin, a son of the late Edward and Sally (Meisner) Karpinski. Butch graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School and then joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking his grandchildren fishing, and tinkering in his garage. Butch is survived by his companion Kay Knecht, four children; Debbie (Karpinski) Young and fiancé Rod Coombs of Sweet Valley, David Buma wife Carla of Stillwater, Denise Vajda and husband Bob of Berwick, and Dennis Kuhar and wife Michelle of Bloomsburg, and nine grandchildren; Kyle, David, Danielle, Christopher, Victoria, Tammy, Danielle, Joey, and Vinny. Butch was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Donald Karpinski, and his cousin who is considered his brother Barry Haupt. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held Friday February 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Bunnell Funeral Home Inc., 179 E. Main St., Millville with Pastor Robert Strozyk officiating.
