Obituary for Alice Carmel Schnure Alice Carmel Schnure passed away in her sleep on Friday April 27th, 2018 after a long battle with various medical conditions. She was born in Douglas, Isle of Man, September 22nd, 1950. Her family moved to southern California in 1953 where she grew up. There, she met her husband James Schnure and they were inseparable for 44 years. Alice and Jim loved to go to the movies together, she loved playing tennis with her friends at Walnut Springs Racquet Club, was an avid book reader and loved being outdoors, especially in her garden. Alice loved her two sons Matt (36 years) and Jeff (31 years) and her granddaughter Payton Jane (18 months). She is survived by her sister Helen who lives in Santa Fe, NM and her sister Christine who resides in Las Vegas, NV. Alice also loved her two golden retrievers Marco and Chase. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 5, 2018 at The Walnut Springs Racquet Club, 433 Airport Road, Reedsville, PA 17084, also with Rev. Karen McCachren to officiate a service. Services are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street.
